On July 1st, the 2009 addition of the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act, Regulation, and Code will come into effect.

A Comparison of the 2006 and 2009 Alberta OHS Code has been put together by Government of Alberta, Employment and Immigration, Workplace Health and Safety.

Ontario

As the province of Ontario moves towards 2010 and towards its initiative to strategically restructure their provincial Occupational Health and Safety Associations, SafeTech continues to encourage companies anticipating to receive a Workwell audit to call 1.877.455.4480 for assistance.

Alberta

SafeTech warmly welcomes Jodi Schoepp and Savannah Eliuk to the SafeTech program development team!

• Jodi Schoepp graduated from NAIT's Environmental Technology Program and has since been tracking chemical inventories, reducing claim costs, performing hazard assessments and developing new health and safety policies and procedures for various companies. She is SafeTech's early bird.
• Savannah Eliuk has found her passion in the field of health and safety. She has worked with the SafeTech team before and we are glad to have her back. Savannah is writing her CRSP exam early May - Bring it home Savannah.
