Shannon Satterthwaite, BCom

Shannon graduated from the Bachelor of Commerce Co-op Program, at the Alberta School of Business in 2002. While attending the University of Alberta, she participated in an international exchange to ITESM in Guadalajara, Mexico where she finished the remaining components of her program.

Upon graduation, she had completed a year of marketing & support work experience, which propelled her into the world of Health & Safety. Since then she has spent a large portion of her time working in the Health and Safety & Mechanical Industry in various sales roles.

She took a brief break from sales to mentor an experienced corporate marketing/advertising guru during a cross-campus institutional rebrand campaign.

Shannon’s first introduction to SafeTech was in 2006 when she volunteered alongside Ken Newby and co-chaired the local CSSE, Edmonton chapter, NAOSH committee. She officially joined the team in 2008.
