Job Title: Senior Safety Advisor- INDUSTRIAL TURNAROUND

Job Purpose:

Reviewing the HSSE plan and assist contractors with execution of overall Hazards Assessment requirement. Review the Hazard Registry against the work scope in their Block including prescribed SWPs.

During the Turnaround Event, HSSE resposibilities include:

roll-out client HSSE responsiblities
conduct inspections and audits during turnaround to identify and manage hazards and monitor compliance with Safe Work Practices and health and safety regulations
make recommendations to the organization and identify potential areas of improvement
interface with the organization for the interpretation of the Safe Work Practices
monitor safety equipment, auditing and training of personnel in the use of safety equipment and systems
provide support in incident investigations
work with HSSE in resolving Safety issues that arise in their block of responsibility
report all field issues to the HSSE Block Liaison
audit Hazard Registry documentation during TA activities
participate in CTA Development
shift work as per schedule

Job Purpose:

Review Clients corporate safety program against the requirements of the provincial legislation and industry standards. The Safety Advisor will work with local management, supervisors and workers to ensure safety program acceptance. Must be able to assist in safety orientations, hazard assessments and abatements. To confirm and coordinate on-site training requirements, conduct accident investigation and assist with project-specific safety plan development.

Job Knowledge / Qualifications, Skills, Experience:

Must have previous Oil & Gas drilling experience, must have their CSO designation and have basic computer skills. CRSP designation is a definite asset.
